Subject: Fair,but it confused me.
Fair little movie. The review that says the plot is far-fetched and that the heroine is gullible is correct. But, it is still pretty good.

The action that happens when Travers is out on the veranda after "Mrs. Travers" goes to bed had me shaking my head at first!
I could not understand what the heck was going on for a while.

Subject: Xcellent film!
This is one, if not the best, film I have seen on the archive.
The acting, sets, sound and best of all the story and direction
of Christy Cabane!

Subject: You won't believe she falls for it!
Entertaingly awful crime melodrama in which an astonishing gullible girl, played by Merna Kennedy, becomes the dupe of a New York gangster, played by Theodore von Eltz. Grant Withers and Shirley Temple appear in supporting roles. Expect primative dialog. The farfetched conclusion is worth the trip. It certainly gave me a harty laugh.

Acceptable video quality and good sound. There are missing-frame dropouts.

CAST NOTES: This was Shirley Temple's 4th screen appearance, and her 2nd in a feature film. Merna Kennedy was the soon-to-be-divorced wife of Busby Berkley.
